For nearly five decades, George Ruiz has dedicated his career to public service and the infrastructure that keeps our communities safe and moving forward.
 

During his 48 years with the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, George developed extensive experience in infrastructure, engineering, responsible planning and the inner workings of local government. He understands that decisions made at City Hall have real consequences for residents, from the condition of neighborhood streets and protection from flooding to the way new development affects traffic, public safety and quality of life.
 

Today, George serves as a Jurupa Valley Planning Commissioner, where he reviews development proposals and considers their long-term effects on residents, neighborhoods and the city’s future. That experience has reinforced his belief that growth must be carefully planned, infrastructure must keep pace with development and residents deserve a meaningful voice before decisions are made.
 

But George’s connection to Jurupa Valley goes beyond government meetings and policy. This is the community he calls home. He is a neighbor, a husband, a father and a grandfather who understands why families value Jurupa Valley’s close-knit neighborhoods, open spaces and distinctive rural character.
 

George is running for City Council because experience matters, but so does listening. He wants to bring practical judgment, institutional knowledge and a steady, independent voice to City Hall. His priorities include protecting Jurupa Valley’s quality of life, improving infrastructure, supporting responsible economic development and ensuring city government remains accountable and accessible to the people it serves.
